Meet Keisha Simon

I've sat on both sides of the table.

I spent years struggling with addiction, incarceration, and the consequences that come with them — and there were times I didn't know if my life would ever look different. Today I have nearly four years in recovery, rebuilt relationships, earned my degrees, and found my purpose: helping others build a life beyond addiction.

I'm a Case Management Supervisor in the substance use treatment field, with a Bachelor's in Psychology of Addictions and a Master's in Psychology — and I'm currently pursuing my MSW and doctoral studies. That mix of lived experience, education, and professional work is what lets me meet you with honesty and without judgment.

Who I help

Coaching for wherever you are right now

I work with adults who are serious about change — and with the families walking beside them.

A green sprout rising from soil at sunrise

Newly sober

You've taken the first step and want steady support, structure, and someone in your corner as you build a new foundation.

Sunrise breaking through clearing clouds after rain

Returning after a relapse

A setback is not the end of your story. We'll get your footing back without shame and rebuild momentum, one step at a time.

A balanced stack of smooth stones beside calm water

Strengthening your foundation

You're in recovery and want to go deeper — confidence, purpose, relationships, and a life that keeps getting fuller.

Two people's hands resting gently together

Families & loved ones

Understand addiction, set healthy boundaries, and support someone you love — without losing yourself in the process.

Soft sunrays streaming through a forest canopy

Faith-based, if you want it

For those who'd like it, I'm glad to bring Christian principles into our work — and I warmly welcome people of every background and belief.

Anywhere in California

Sessions are virtual across the whole state, with in-person options in Orange County when that's a better fit.

The approach

What recovery coaching is — and isn't

Coaching is a partnership focused on where you're going. It complements clinical care and therapy; it doesn't replace them.

Forward-focused

We start from your goals and strengths — not your diagnosis. Every session ends with clear, doable next steps.

Judgment-free

No shame, no scripts. Just an honest, confidential space to be real about what's working and what isn't.

Whole-life

Recovery is about more than getting sober — it's relationships, work, health, and purpose. We work on the life, not just the symptom.

Recovery is about more than getting sober. It's about building a life you don't want to escape from.

Good to know

Questions, answered

What is a recovery coach?

A recovery coach is a trained, forward-focused partner who helps you set goals, stay accountable, build life skills, and navigate everyday recovery. Coaching complements treatment and therapy — it doesn't replace clinical or crisis care.

How is a recovery coach different from a therapist or sponsor?

A therapist treats mental-health conditions clinically. A sponsor is a volunteer peer within a 12-step program. A recovery coach is a professional, goal-focused guide for your day-to-day recovery and life — accountability, planning, and skills. Many people work with more than one.

Are sessions virtual or in person?

Both. Sessions are held securely by video anywhere in California, with in-person options available in Orange County when that's a better fit.

Do I have to be sober already to start?

Not at all. Whether you're considering change, newly sober, returning after a relapse, or years in, coaching meets you where you are. The only requirement is a willingness to take the next small step.
